At Batoș, in the Lechința wine region, the vineyards were first planted by Saxon settlers back in the 14th century. Since 2010, Austrian entrepreneur Alfred Michael Beck has brought them back to life under the name Liliac. The 52 hectares are harvested by hand, Austrian expertise woven into Transylvania's cool terroir. Collaborations with masters like Willi Opitz and the Kracher house have produced reference cuvées — led by the famous Transylvanian Ice Wine, picked in the frost of winter. Liliac comes from afar, from Transylvania — one of the exceptions we make for wines you can't find anywhere nearby. On the menu and in our shop, by the bottle.
