On the northern edge of Buzău, economist Valentin planted a fig orchard out of passion: 600 trees on 8,500 square metres. Figs turn out to be made for this place: no pests, little water needed, grown without chemical fertilisers — fully organic. A mature tree gives up to 100 kg of fruit, picked by hand so it doesn't bruise. The figs reach the conac fresh in season, and as jam in the shop all year round.
