The mansion was built in 1930 by landowner C.C. Grigorescu at Rătești, in the Buzău valley, and brought back to life through a restoration of more than ten years. Today it is a Slow Food destination in the UNESCO Buzău Land Geopark — and home of the Slow Food Buzău community. Everything connects here: the Farm-to-Table restaurant, our own garden and mini-farm, the shop with the small producers' goods from around the valley, and rooms for guests who want to stay the night. Our way of telling the story: taste it, scan it, learn who made it — and take it home.
