Two young entrepreneurs in Buzău county bet on the world's most expensive spice: they turned the land behind their house into a saffron field. The flowers are picked by hand at first light, and the stigmas — the "red gold" — dry naturally. At the conac their saffron colours festive dishes, and the little jars sit in our shop.
